Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, Governor of Ondo State, has tested positive for Coronavirus.
On Tuesday afternoon Akeredolu disclosed this on its checked Facebook page.
The governor said he’s still in self-isolation, as stipulated by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control case management guidelines for anyone who has no symptoms.

He wrote;
Earlier today, I got confirmation of a positive result for COVID-19. I am asymptomatic and not displaying any symptoms.
“I am currently self-isolating and supervised home management will be administered by the wonderful team at our Infectious Disease Hospital. I ask that we all stay safe and be well.”
Akeredolu joins a rising list of top leaders in the country who have had coronavirus.
Those include the late Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, Kaduna Governor Nasir el-Rufai, Bauchia Governor Bala Mohammed and Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde.
