Sound Sultan, a veteran Nigerian singer and performer, died after a long battle with cancer
Sultan was 44 years old at the time of his death.
This comes following media claims that the artist was getting chemotherapy in a hospital in the United States of America two months ago.
His wife, three children, and brothers are Sound Sultan’s survivors.

As they come to terms with their devastating loss, his family begs for seclusion from the public. Dr. Kayode Fasasi signed the statement on behalf of the Fasasi family.
His family released a statement on Sunday, July 11, 2021, announcing his death.
