Boy Spyce (born Ugbekile David Osemeke) is a Nigerian Afrobeat musician and songwriter who shot to prominence after his freestyle video for Wizkid’s smash song “Essence” featuring Tems went viral on the internet.
He was born in Edo State, Nigeria, on May 10th, 2001, to Mr. and Mrs. Ugbekile, grew up in Jakande Estate Isolo, where he spent his formative years.
Early Life
Boy Spyce has always been interested in music, and he used to spend a lot of time churning out freestyles and posting them on social media when he was younger.
He gained a lot of attention after his cover of Wizkid’s “Essence” with Tems went viral.
He grew committed in his choice to pursue music full time after receiving encouraging feedback from his audience at the time.
Education
The gifted musician attended Badagry’s Lagos State Model College Kankon.
Though nothing is known about Boy Spyce’s educational background, he is currently claimed to be studying accounting at a postsecondary institution.

Boy Spyce, who is known for his freestyles, has maintained a large fan base since going viral for them.
Don Jazzy, the proprietor of Mavin Records and a prominent Nigerian music producer, announced the signing of Boy Spyce to his label on April 14, 2022.
However, Don Jazzy claimed that he has been keeping a close eye on the youngster since the beginning of 2019.
In 2021, Boy Spyce was one of 3 Finalists In The Viral Reno5F Next OPPO Music Star Contest.
On 15th April, 2022 Bad Boyspyce broke into the music stage officially with his debut EP project tagged “Boy Spyce” which was released under his new record label.
