This year’s induction without doubt, has become the most hyped and talked about not just within the school environment but also online as it provides an unparalleled platform for students and lovers of art, both old and young, to relax and enjoy the ceremony.
It’s no longer news that,the Department Of Theatre and Film Studies prides itself as the entertainment and socio-cultural hub of Uniport with vibrant expression of its creativity in art(s).
Therefore, it has always been the tradition of this Administration to use this instrument as springboard to drive development and market the department’s contents to both national and international investors who will contribute to the development of the department.
Over the years the Department’s ANNUAL INDUCTION CEREMONY has always offered an opportunity to business owners ( Internal & External ) the opportunity to showcase their products on that day of Induction and we promise you all that this year won’t be different.
This year’s theme is : AWAKEN – A Celebration of the year 1( one ) students and that of the renovation of our Theatre, it is also a period filled with exciting activities for us and our Art lovers.
I wish to express my immense gratitude to our new major Media Partners (Trendo Digital, NaijaWhisper, Nagornet, Benix Media, Entmediahub, Naijaactive etc) and of course sponsors, who have so far contributed to ensure that the programme becomes a success and to all the artistes who will be performing on that day, awesome vendors, planning committee and audience.
Lastly, i urge all students of Uniport and lovers of the department of Theatre and Film Studies ( Uniport ) to come and experience the AWAKEN 2019.
