After Mesut Ozil’s stunning transfer move to Fenerbahce, Arsene Wenger broke his silence.
Mesut Ozil ended his seven-year spell with Arsenal after he sealed a January switch to Fenerbahce.
It is understood that Ozil was allowed to jet to Istanbul to complete the switch, ending months of his tumultuous spell with Arsenal.
At the Emirates, the midfielder was frozen out, with manager Mikel Arteta axing him for the current season from the Arsenal squad.
The move plunged Ozil’s future into uncertainty with the Gunners, leaving him with no choice but to look for a move.
And just hours after Ozil appeared to have sealed his move to Fenerbahce, Wenger, who signed the German from Real Madrid, exuded confidence that Ozil could propel the Turkish giants to title glory.

Wenger has previously expressed his disappointment with the treatment of Ozil at Arsenal, but now the former Real Madrid star seems thrilled that his Emirates nightmare has ended.
Seven years ago, he pulled off a huge coup to sign Ozil from Real, with the midfielder flourishing with the North Londoners under the Frenchman in his early years and subsequently winning three FA Cup titles with the side.
However, it was Wenger’s departure that gave birth to his problems at the club, struggling to click under the success of the legendary boss, Unai Emery.
Arteta’s arrival further spelt the World Cup winner’s doom as he fell out of favor with his former teammate.
