Hurray as legendary entertainer from Nigeria, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo popularly known as D’banj turn 40 Today.
D’banj was born June 9, 1980 according to records. He is a songwriter, singer, producer, and television host as well as being a musician.
D’banj also has numerous awards to his name, including: Best African Act at the 2007 MTV Europe Music Awards, Artist of the Year at the 2009 MTV Africa Music Awards, Best International Act: Africa at the 2011 BET Awards, and Best Selling African Artist at the 2014 World Music Awards, the 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards Evolution Award.
His biggest song to blow up the international scene is his 2012 released hit single “Oliver Twist” In 2011, it surpassed the African charts and was a top 10 hit in the UK singles chart in 2012 reaching No. 2 on the UK R&B chart.
D’banj, who at one time is also known as the Koko Master or Bangalee, was seen as the closest competitor to 2Face Idibia during their reigns in the industry.
