Coach “Ralf Rangnick” says his row with Anthony Martial has been resolved

Ralf Rangnick, Manchester United’s interim coach, has revealed that his feud with Anthony Martial has been resolved following discussions with the Frenchman

Rangnick said that Martial, who is reportedly looking for a move in the January transfer window, told him he did not want to be in the squad for Saturday’s match against Aston Villa.

The 26-year-old French striker reacted angrily, posting a statement on social media stating that he would never refuse to play for United or disrespect the club.

Rangnick, the interim manager, has since stated that the two men met on Sunday at Carrington to address their differences and that the situation is now concluded.

In Ralf’s words :

I am here now for six weeks,’ All the things that need to be said, I said after the press conference.

I had a personal conversation with him on Sunday about what happened and how I saw the whole situation, and the matter is now resolved.

He didn’t train yesterday and the day before yesterday.

He will probably train today, and after training I will then take a decision if he is nominated or not. Let’s see what will happen then.’

Martial has not played for United since early December due to a knee injury and the uncertainty over his future at Old Trafford.
