Biography of Kizz Daniel

Oluwatobilola Daniel Anidugbe, better known by his stage name Kizz Daniel, was born on May 1st, 1994.

He was born in Ogun state but grew up in Abeokuta’s north government area. His parents reared him along with his three younger brothers and a sister.

Daniels’ background and family life, on the other hand, have never been revealed.

However, he did share a childhood reminiscence on Instagram, describing what it was like to grow up in a rat-infested house in KUTO, Abeokuta.

Daniel graduated from the University of Agriculture in Abeokuta with a degree in water engineering. While in university, he developed an interest in music and chose to pursue it as a career.

A Career in Music

A girl (name withdrawn) gave him the nickname kiss Daniel. Kiss Daniel started his music career the year he graduated from university, in 2013.

He met Emperor Geezy, the CEO of G-World Entertainment, who signed him to his record company, G-World Entertainment, and released his first single, “Shoye,” in 2014, along with a music video a few weeks later.

Daniel released his second single, “Woju,” not long after his first. The song charted in the top ten on MTV base official Naija for 11 weeks before climbing to number one, where it remained for another 6 weeks.

Kizz Daniel released his third single “Laye” on May 1, 2015, his birthday, which was shot by Aje films in various locations in East Africa, and the video was shot after two weeks.

On May 14, 2016, Daniel released his first studio album, named “New Era.”

Daniel sings, plays piano and guitar, and is a big fan of stand-up comedy. He also intends to invest in his schooling as a water engineer and start a sachet and bottled water company.

The Afro Pop musician was put in hot water by G-World Entertainment, the record label with which he inked a deal.

Accusations started to make headlines in the news and on social media.

Daniel is believed to have received a monthly payment of #30,000 from the record label, while the firm claims to have paid the singer over $120 million since their agreement.

However, legal fights were waged, and Daniel was victorious.

He changed his name from “kiss” Daniel to “Kizz” Daniel after the war. After that, in November 2017, he started his own record label.

Kizz admitted that his largest obstacle to stardom was financial difficulties, and that he had to rely on a lot of patience and hard effort to overcome it.
