American actor Matthew Joseph Dallas (Matt Dallas for short) was born on October 21, 1982, and is best known for playing Kyle XY in the ABC Family series.
Early Life
Dallas was raised at Arizona School for the Arts and was born in Phoenix, Arizona. He has a younger sister and two brothers.
At the age of 12, his grandmother took him to a performance of the play The Ugly Duckling at a nearby community theater called Desert Stages Theater, sparking his interest in acting.
Career
Dallas has been in a number of motion pictures and as Kyle XY for three seasons on the ABC Family television program. After being canceled by ABC, the show came to an end on March 16, 2009.
Dallas additionally starred in the films Babysitter Wanted, Living The Dream, and Camp Slaughter (2008). He has appeared as a guest on Entourage.
Dallas appeared in the music video for “Geek Love” by Fan 3 in 2004. Dallas co-starred alongside Mischa Barton in the music video for “Goodbye My Lover” by James Blunt in 2005, and in “Thinking of You” by Katy Perry in 2008.
Dallas was chosen to play Roxie’s (Rebecca Romijn) love interest in the ABC series Eastwick. Dallas would star alongside Hilary Duff in the film Beauty and the Briefcase, it was reported in 2009.
Matt played Bat Masterson in the independent western The First Ride of Wyatt Earp, which was released on March 6, 2012.
Dallas played Max in the musical love story film You, Me & the Circus in 2012. He costarred with Val Kilmer in the action-packed western film Wyatt Earp’s Revenge as Bat Masterson.
In the Hallmark film Naughty or Nice with Hilarie Burton, he also played Lance Leigh. Dallas portrayed Scott Orenhauser in the independent science fiction thriller Life Tracker.
Dallas portrays Riley’s (Chelsea Kane) potential suitor in the ABC Family series Baby Daddy. Dallas appeared in the 2014 comedy-horror film Ghost of Goodnight Lane.
Dallas played Jake in the web comedy Anne & Jake in 2015. On November 11, 2015, YouTube posted the series. Dallas played Declan in Shaz Bennett’s 2017 drama film Alaska is a Drag, which was written and directed by Bennett.
Additionally, he played Frank Dean in James Cotten’s western Painted Woman.
Dallas played Pastor John in the supernatural horror movie Along Came the Devil in 2018.
Dallas co-starred with Claire Coffee in the 2019 Lifetime drama A Daughter’s Plan to Kill as Greg Carlyle.
Additionally, he co-starred with Cassi Thomson in the love story Nearly Married as Bobby Browning.

Dallas is gay, despite having for a while denied it when Perez Hilton outed him on his gossip website and the Howard Stern Show.
On Stern’s SiriusXM show, Perez Hilton made it known that Dallas was gay. Dallas then made an appearance two weeks later to deny the claim that he had slept with 20 women in high school and listed a few Hollywood actresses to whom he was most drawn.
He wed the musician Blue Hamilton on July 5, 2015. Dallas and Hamilton announced the adoption of their son Crow, who was two years old at the time, on December 22, 2015, on their YouTube account.
The couple revealed they had adopted Rosa as their second child on July 16, 2022, through YouTube once again.
