Messi Renew his deal with Barcelona – 10 years contract

Messi deal with Barcelona

Lionel Messi will sign a spectacular 10-year contract with Barcelona, putting an end to doubts about his leaving

Messi’s current contract will expire on June 30, 2021, one year after he attempted to leave the Nou Camp.

Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with a move for the Argentine captain as his contract expires.

Messi, on the other hand, is willing to sign a long-term contract after the signing of his close friend and compatriot Sergio Aguero.

In order to finance his astronomical wage, the 33-year-old will be offered a contract that will last until 2031.

Because of Barcelona’s current financial predicament, spreading Messi’s pay over a longer period of time may make a deal more feasible in the short term.

Messi will earn roughly £206 million over the following four years, the first two of which he will be a member of Barcelona’s playing staff.

From 2023 onwards, he is expected to join David Beckham’s Major League Soccer team, Inter Miami, where he would play for two more seasons before retiring in 2025.

After that, it’s expected that Messi would move behind the scenes to work as a Strategic Partner and Ambassador for the club.
