Sara, an author dealing with the block of a writer, needs inspiration-and finds it when she meets Godfrey serendipitously, a down-on-his-luck oddball who constantly switches personas and alter egos to cope with his past and escape reality.

Just as Godfrey starts to open up to Sara, he finds that for her next book, she’s been using him as inspiration, and he disappears from her life.
