Nigeria’s first coronavirus death has been recorded, according to the Guardian.com
Former Managing Director of Petroleum Pricing Monitoring Corporation Aisha Suleiman Achimugu died of coronavirus on Monday.
According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC),
the case was a 67-year-old male who returned to the United Kingdom following a medical procedure.

He had underlying medical conditions— multiple myeloma and diabetes, and had chemotherapy underway.
This was confirmed shortly by the NCDC through its Twitter account.
It Reads :
“The 1st #COVID19 death in Nigeria has been recorded.
The case was a 67 year old male who returned home following medical treatment in UK
He had underlying medical conditions- multiple myeloma & diabetes & was undergoing chemotherapy
Our thoughts are with his family.“
