A Quick Review of Rema Freesytle, an EP of four songs.
Nigerian afropop singer and whizkid of the moment, Rema released a “Freestyle EP” following his debut 4-track project titled ‘Rema EP.’ The sensational act from Edo State, Nigeria who recently got signed to Donjazzy‘s Mavin Records has been making waves since the release of his Rema Album.
Rema has since been accepted and loved by the Nigerian and African Music-sphere. The talented 19-year old teenager has topped the charts on Apple Music, Boomplayer and other digital stores and music platforms with “Dumebi”, “Iron Man”, “Corny” and “Why”, all coming from the Rema Album Ep.
Recall the Lagos based youngster Rema has dropped several Freestyle videos on instagram prior and following his record and management deal with Mavin records and Jonzing world. Rema Freestyle EP, a 4-track EP ; ‘American Love”, “Boulevard”, “Spiderman” and “Trap Out The Marine” has since its release been the best Trap songs in the Nigerian music space. Rema Freestyle EP went on to reveal some deep secrets about Rema.

On my first listen to Rema Freestyle EP, I was totally speechless and confused. I couldn’t believe the afro-singer was actually the one behind the Rema Album and the Rema Freestyle EP. The beauty of this youngsters talent is its delivery, flexibility and the creativity. The Rema Freestyle EP came as a quench to the fans unwavering taste as Nigerians has been waiting for an artist to take over the mantle of Trap music. There are four basic things we learn’t from the Rema Album and Rema Freestyle Ep;
1. Rema is super talented
Rema Freestyle and Rema Album ensured that the talent of the Mavin youngster isn’t undervalued. We could see the club/party man give us a different vibe. Rema could as well be termed a rapper as he judiciously murdered the Rema Freestyle EP.
2. Rema is not a replica of Wizkid
The Rema Freeystle Ep clarified and annulled the popular view that Rema is a young version of Afrobeats Living legend, Wizkid.
3. Mavin record /Jonzin World are the best at what they do
Two Ep. Two masterpiece that has totally changed the face of the Nigerian music scene. It could be done by Mavin Records. Seems the Mavin reords boss, Donjazzy has finally replaced Tiwa Savage and Reekado Banks with Rema and Crayon.
4. The Rema brand is addictive
One just cant but love the Rema brand. a mixture of the African and carribean sounds. Rema is simply a global product.
