The singer, who was recently named a billionaire after earning over $1.4 billion from her beauty fad firm, claimed that her mother once told her that she is from the Igbo tribe, which is located in southern Nigeria also known as Biafrans.

“My mom told me that I am originally an Igbo woman. Igbo is a tribe in Africa.”
This sparked debate online as Nigerians flooded the whole social media platforms declaring that Rihanna is a Nigerian.
