COVID-19 : Lagos LCDA chairman, Hon. Babatunde dies of coronavirus

Hon. Babatunde Oke, the chairman of Lagos state’s Oniggbongbo Local Council Development Area is dies of Coronavirus

He died in Wednesday’s early hours (12/08/2020), due to infection with coronavirus.

Hon. Oke was serving his second term in council before his death and was an active member of the All Democratic Party (APC).

We found that he had been sick for a while but recovered only for the illness to return late last week due to the stress that he had encountered during the last sallah break, where he was reportedly exposed again.

As per a source, Hon. Oke was ill with the virus for over 8 weeks, and was previously treated at the Gbagada Isolation Center.

On Friday was rushed to an undisclosed hospital when the sickness got serious.

However when his condition became critical, he was moved to St. Nicholas Hospital.

He finally died Wednesday morning in the early hours.
