King of Iwoland dishes foreign style for his subjects, says he’s got the right dose of swag
First class Yoruba traditional ruler in Osun State, the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi is an interesting man.
The unconventional ruler surprised the internet recently with his special ‘dose of swag’.
Gone are the days that Nigerian traditional rulers were seen with nothing but their native attires that fully showcase the culture and position of the king.
These days, with 50-year-old Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi sitting on the throne, things are different and no one dare asks questions.
Recently, the Oluwo of Iwo land defended his adoption of the Emir of Yoruba land title, saying it was a “metaphor” of the disunity among traditional rulers in Yoruba land.
Now, it appears having a foreign ‘swag’ is priority for the royal.
The king who is active on social media is currently enjoying vacation in foreign cities and is happy to ditch his traditional outfits for jogger and chinchilla coats.
More than his swagful apparels, the king’s caption on a photo he shared, where he talked about being a modern-day ruler and dishing the right dose of swag is what has got most people talking.
